It has been tradition of the Armenian Church to offer a gift at Christmas season to the Church under the name of “Youghakin”, or oil offering, which in return would keep the lanterns illuminated, and ultimately the doors open to the Church. At this season of Christ’s birth, let us observe and continue the custom of Yughakin.
