New Primate Elected
The Eastern Diocese has elected the Very Rev. Fr. Mesrop Parsamyan as its Primate. Pending approval by the H.H. Karekin II, the Catholicos of All Armenians, Fr. Mesrop will become the 13th Primate of the Eastern Diocese.
The election took place on Friday, May 6, during the first general session of the 120th Diocesan Assembly, meeting in New York at the St. Vartan Cathedral complex.
Please pray for Fr. Mesrop in this new chapter in his ministry. Pray too for the continuing distinguished ministry of our outgoing Primate Bishop Daniel Findikyan, and all our clergy. God bless them and all the faithful of our Diocese.
